Mr. Gedon Hertshten began his career as an independent trader at the Chicago Board of Trade.
1978
Mr. Hertshten founded G.H. Financials in London. Today, GHF is a global clearer with two wholly owned subsidiaries in Chicago and Hong Kong.
1993
Mr. Hertshten became a member of the Board of Directors at LIFFE (London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange).
1997
Futures First Israel was founded as the first office in the derivatives industry located away from a financial center.
2002
Futures First India opened its first office. Today it has offices in six major cities in India.
2004
Hertshten Group and Mercury Derivatives were founded in Mauritius.
2005
Hertshten Properties was founded for investment in commercial properties.
2013
Quantum Insurance was launched in Mauritius as a first step to introduce online insurance in the African marketplace.
2015
Mr. Hertshten became a member of the Board of Directors of the CME Group, the world’s largest derivatives exchange.
2017
Futures First opens its first office in North America, in Montréal, Canada.
2020
Mercury Derivatives opens its 2nd office in Singapore and Futures First opened an office in Dubai.
2021
Hertshten Group acquired OSTC's trading business, strengthening its position as the world's preeminent proprietary trading firm.
